Mustang defense is being passed, fans steers at the goal post, fans on the stands are hoping that Mustangs will fend off Balboa from getting the first touch down, with three remaining downs to defend against Balboa. With the ball only needing a five yard gain, Mustang fans are anxious to see the Mustangs defense triumph as the score flashed Lincoln 0-0. As the three downs progressed all attempts to pass Mustangs defense failed for Balboa. Then the fans went wild whistling and yelling, as the announcer telling the crowd only referees are allowed to whistle. So as the remaining of the game went on no whistling was heard.

This playoff game with Lincoln vs. Balboa decides who will go challenge Lowell in the championship. The football teams having support from the fans, believing they can defiantly reach the championships.

Halftime approaches Lincoln has possession of the ball, as Mustang offense are 40 yards away from Balboa teams goal post. As the score was still Lincoln 0-0 Mustang spirit was high. During halftime the coaches talks to the Mustang team, with halftime almost over they head back to the field with renewed faith.

As the 3rd quarter of the game begins Balboa kicks off, and then as the ball was landing player No. 2 Kendrick Page caches it. Then as the play continues with 4 downs Lincoln loses possession of the ball in a turnover. At 8:11 p.m., Balboa attempts a long pass but is intercepted by player No. 24 David Henderson. Then the tide of the game shifts to the Mustangs as the Mustang’s offense begins to make their move. Henderson begins to run for 4 downs within the 2nd down after the 1st completion. With the help of the Mustang’s defense, runs through Balboa’s defense and gains the first six points.

As the stands began to fill up, the game becomes more intense as it becomes a showdown of plays. The game begins anew Balboa went and put up a long challenge. It progresses for about thirteen downs without either sides backing down. Then Henderson again charges through Balboa’s defense and helps Lincoln gain another six points.

As Mustang spirit rose Lincoln controlled the scoreboard, Lincoln 16-8. The game progresses runs again against Balboa’s defense and change the score again, Lincoln 22-8. With only 1:18 minutes on the scoreboard, Page runs against the whole Balboa defense and scores an incredible touchdown as the fans cheered. The score becomes Lincoln 29-8.

With only 1:17 minutes on the scoreboard Balboa receives, Lincoln kicks the ball. As the scoreboard hits 0:16, Balboa calls a timeout. As the remaining 0:16 seconds drop the game was sealed. Lincoln won the playoffs as the crowd cheers. As the football players’ lines up, Ronald Pang, Kenyatta Scout, and the cheerleaders sang the school hymn with a victory dance. The game ended with cheers from the fans due to Mustangs near flawless victory.
